| DESCRIPTION (english): | Here is perhaps the most radical machine in this section: Laurent de Kalbermatten's Woopy Trike, half-trike, half-paratrike. You can read more on the unique wing in our paraglider section – 35 cells inflated by two small electric fans, braced by a transverse aluminum and carbon spar and deriggable into a car trunk. The prototype used a four-wheel undercarriage but a more conventional trike has now been put into production. It costs 7990SF, excluding wing but including H&E R120 engine, 125cm-dia prop, harness and nosewheel brake. With wing, the price is 13780SF. An electric version is also offered. |
| DESCRIPTION (french): | Voici le pendulaire le plus surprenant : le Woopy Fly de Laurent de Kalbermatten. La structure interne est composée de 35 cellules gonflées par deux petits ventilateurs électriques tandis qu'un longeron transversal en aluminium et carbone reprend les efforts en envergure. Le tout tient replié sur une galerie d'automobile. L'appareil est désormais motorisé. La version à quatre roues a été remplacée par un chariot tricycle plus classique au prix de 13 780 FS. Elle est livrée complète avec un moteur H&R R120, une hélice de 125cm de diamètre, un harnais et un frein sur la roue avant. Une version électrique est également disponible. |
| DESCRIPTION (german): | Laurent de Kalbermattens Woopy Trike ist halb Drachen- und halb Para-Trike. Der aufblasbare, geschlossene Schirm mit 35 Zellen wird von zwei Elektro-Ventilatoren auf Überdruck gehalten, zudem sorgen auch ein Aluholm und Karbon-Rippen für Formstabilität. Das Woopy kann klein zusammengelegt im Kofferraum transportiert werden. Mit H&E R120 Motor, 125 cm Propeller, Gurtzeug und Bugradbremse, aber ohne Fläche kostet das Woopy Trike rund 8.000 CHFr, mit Flügel knapp 14.000 CHFr. Eine Version mit Elektromotor ist ebenfalls im Angebot. |
